Amazing Paper Grace August Die of the Month Blog Hop - Pop up 3D Vignette Telephone

Hold the phone!!!  It has been an exciting week for us all!!  We've been waiting with bated breath to announce our Creative Team!  Many are waiting for their dies to arrive but two of our newest designers are joining in today.  Today we are sharing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for August 2020 -  Pop up 3D Vignette Telephone.  It's super cute and guaranteed to bring a smile!

Pop Up 3D Vignette Phone Details

We've spent all month making funny phone jokes and puns!  Do you realize this little relic is something that most teenyboppers haven't seen in person?  Just as with the typewriter, the phone is an iconic part of our history and technology.  Ever evolving, this phone will always be a part of our coming of age.  During the month we played "I Spy" to peek into how folks were using this die and this is what we found:

1. A shaker card
2. A notepad holder
3. A mini 4-page scrapbook (which will hold Instax pictures)
4. A gift card holder
5. A card with multiple sentiments
6. A basket

We're sure there are more, but in the meantime, here is some additional inspiration to pique your creativity.

                         

There are SIXTEEN dies included in the Telephone Set

My Project Today using 3D Vignette Telephone is a shaped Telephone and a card.

When I saw this beautiful butterfly paper, I bought it immediately. Combination of these two colours blue and light brown is one of my favourites.  Creating a 3D Telephone was simple and had a lot of fun.

I added a gold accent to give my creation a better look. I made this creation for my sister, and I wrote some kind words for her on the cards.

Additionally, like every 3D Vignettes, this is very simple to fold, put into an envelope and mail to your family or friends. 

My second project is a card in a vintage style.

Using S4-1025 Sweet Cottage Flowers Dies I made two roses and decorated my card. Additionally, I die cut "HELLO BEAUTIFUL" from the same paper as a background. 

I used scissors and cut out some printed leaves and put them under my flowers.

Elegant Twist Collection - Squares and Ovals together

Hi my crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing with you with my new inspiration for Amazing Paper Grace. 

I usually make square or rectangle cards but this time I decided to use a slimline base card. Honestly, I can say I love it and definitely I will use it more often.

I used a blue floral paper as a background of my squares. I used Elegant Twist Squares from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken. Frames are die cut from gold and blue paper and glued together. As you can see on closeup pictures I offset them a little to get a better look. 

Under square frames, I used foam tape to get a little dimension. On the top, I put an oval die cut from the same Collection. In the middle, I stamped a sentiment "It's Your Birthday" from All Occasion Sentiments Stamp and Die Set from Flourished Fretwork Collection where you can find a set of 12 sentiment stamps and three coordinating thin metal dies.

I decorated my card with handmade flowers. I created them from creme paper and I used Amazing Paper Grace's. dies. List below.

Elegant Twist Oval | Floral card

Hi my Friends,

Today I am sharing a floral card featuring Elegant Twist Ovals Etched Dies from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken.

I'd wanted to create something simple and I decided to colour the flowers and add to my card.

I started by colouring the flowers. I tried to colour them with pink alcohol markers but I wasn't happy with the result. So I chose purple. Then I had to find a coordinated paper with the flowers' colour. I chose a very light purple-green pattern that looks great. 

To create a sentiment I used a Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and a Glimmer Plate that comes from Borders and Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken. 

I embellished the card with little purple pearls.

I hope you like it because it was my first attempt to colour with alcohol markers :)
