My Project for Today:

Today, I'm using a die designed by Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace called S4-1071 - Spooky Cottage Etched Dies Halloween Collection by Becca Feeken, available at Spellbinders.

Firstly, I created a slimline card and then I decorated a Cottage (S6-153) with (S4-1071) Spooky Cottage Dies. Both in the same style.

Honestly, It is the very first time when I made Halloween cards. I have never made them before. My first thought about Halloween was black and purple so I decided to use these two colours.

I started with the panel 3,93 x 8 inches. From outside to inside I ink blended with 4 Distress Ink to create a card's background. I splattered top of my card with white, acrylic paint.
Next, I die cut trees, fences, mummies, wood plans, bats and arranged a scene. To colour mummies, I used alcohol markers.

To colour the Cottage I used the same Distress Inks. Roof tiles, mummy and tree were coloured with alcohol markers. The windows are made with vellum paper. Door and window frame is die cut from plain paper painted with gold acrylic paint.

I've been really enjoying with these Halloween sets of Dies. They give you lots of possibilities to create.

  4. Your night sky is so spooky for those mummies and the house is eye-catching. Would love to know the colors used for the sky. Have you ever been Booed (a bag with Halloween goodies anonymously placed at your door)? These would be perfect as little gifts.

    1. I started putting "Pink Raspberry" onto my card. Then I put "Dusty Concord" from outside to inside leaving some pink places in the middle. To make the sky darker I used "Stormy Sky". I put this colour especially in the corners. In some lighter places I added yellow ink "Scattered Straw". To make starts I use white paint and brush.

I have never been Booed 🎃
