Amazing Paper Grace December Die of the Month Blog Hop

Every now and again you need easy, right?  We've become a huge fans of slip-in cards.  They are cards that are cut partially inlaid so that you can simply slip a decorative panel into place and you're done.  This month Die of the Month is called Rose & Filigree Duo Slip in Card.

Your panel can be decorative, textured or simply a sentiment.  The partial inlay can be positioned just where you want it on your card from one side to another or midway.  It can even be used to make a gatefold card or an actual belly band.

This month we have very delicate and subtle dies. I think they are perfect for birthday or wedding cards.

My Project Today:

I made a birthday card using one of the Die from the set. I cut from a cream paper and gold the same pattern and while adhering them I offset them a little. I cut a pink background and put it under bottom shape.

My second card:

My second card is in a lilac colour with a pearl paper. I decorated my card with some of the flowers made using Bacca's dies.

  1. Wow Kate!! These are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the shadow layers you used, they really make the dies pop!!

  2. HOW LOVELY, Kate! Your first card is SO ELEGANT & CLASSY with the colors you chose! AND your second card is GORGEOUS AS WELL, & gives us a touch of Spring with all the LOVELY colors!!! A SUPER JOB!!!!!! ;)<3

  3. Maybe because I love roses, maybe because lilac is a favorite color or maybe because this is a lovely sentiment but mostly because of all the above, I particularly love your lilac card! It's easy to see how these dies will be among my favorites. Thank you, Kate!

  4. Love your cards, especially the second one. I love the sentiment on the oval inset. How did you do that since you said you used no stamp and no ink? New to card-making. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas!

    1. I wrote the sentiments in a graphic programme then I printed it out. When I need something I can create something different with different fonts and style.

  5. Your cards are pure elegance, Kate! The gold on your first card is simply stunning, and I love the purple on your other gorgeous card! xx

  6. Wow! Absolutely beautiful cards! Love, love, love! tfs Hugs, Christine
