Amazing Paper Grace October Die of the Month Blog Hop

Have you ever needed to make a card and hunted through your stash and found that you could not find a sentiment with the right word?  Well, look no more!  It was out of that frustration that Becca created a sweet set that will accommodate that exact word you are looking for with One Kind Word Alphabet Collage.

Now you can headline with Sorry, Amazing, Silly, Fierce, Happy, Heaven, Gather, Home, Grow, Friend, Bestie and the list goes on and on.  No need to stick with one word, you can have two - U Rock, Adore U, My Love.

One of the things we share when we share a handmade card, is kindness.  What better way to share that kindness than to put the exact word you mean on the front of the card.  Nothing like getting right to the point! The Alphabet collage is a card in and of itself but the words you can make with the letters that fall out, are priceless.  You can use the 5 x 7 Sentiment Frame or go naked and simply make up your own sentiment.

This die is so universal.  With a whole alphabet, you can create any card.  The letters are so delicate and beautiful. In addition, we have little flowers to decorate our project.

It's World Card Making Day and the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team is celebrating with a Giveaway and inspiration for the new October Die of the Month - details at the bottom of my post.

My project today:

I couldn't decide what card to prepare for this blog. Firstly, I wanted to make a Christmas card, then a card with my wee granddaughter's photo. Finally, because it's getting colder and colder, I decided to give you a little sun :)
I found beautiful sunflower's pictures on the Internet. I recomposed them a little and mixed them together. I printed them on a cream paper. I decorated my card with flowers from Die of the Month. They are so sweet.
At the top, I added the name of my friend to make the card more personalised.

Christmas 3

Christmas Time is getting closer and closer. Only three months left.
I prepared some Christmas cards on this occasion.

I used  Nativity Layering Set from 3D Holiday Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken. This is a set of three dies that coordinate with S6-138 Grand Arch 3D Card Etched Dies set.

I decorated my card with some poinsettia flowers and leaves.

With Candlewick Corners I made freak sides of my card.

I used:

S4-1006 - Nativity Layering Set
S6-159 - Grand Christmas Lattice Arch
S4-960 - Cinch and Go Poinsettia
S4-1024 - Candlewick Edged Corners

Introducing Candlewick Sampler | Giveaway

If you're a "Gracelet" or by chance happened by the Amazing Paper Grace website over time, you have no doubt wondered how Becca comes up with her names and inspiration.  Today, we're excited to give a little peek into a new collection and the inspiration.  Join us as we share lovely creations made using Candlewick Sampler

Since the age of 12 Becca has loved fiber - she quilts, knits, crochets, does cross stitch and before becoming a Licensed Die Designer sewed most of her own clothes. Fascinated with intricate textures and the look of laces, fabrics, and embroidery, Becca tried to replicate the look and feel of those textures in dies.  Candlewicking has such a distinct look and Becca thrilled at the prospect of getting that look and feel into a die.  If you've loved her lace look collections or that elegant look of Hemstitch, you'll love Candlewick Sampler.

The Inspiration Behind Candlewick Sampler

Candlewicking is a type of whitework embroidery normally done on cream or white fabric embellished with cream or white french knots.  The series of french knots create the outlines of the pattern giving it a unique look while adding a touch of elegance.  In these dies, you can see rounded motifs that hint at the texture of dots.  Without overpowering, it's a sweet little detail present on all the dies in the collection.  Plus, it just happens to be the perfect spot to place a pearl.  Google candlewicking and you'll see exactly what we mean.

My Projects For Today

I'm introducing a S3-382 Candlewick Colonnade Border - Candlewick Sampler Collection by Becca Feeken. This is a set of two dies that includes a beautiful intricate topper inlay design and an outer top cut piece.

For my project today I made a Wedding Invitation and Respond Card. I used a textured peach paper. Firstly,  I cut the opposite sides of the paper and I folded two cut pattern to inside. In this way I prepared a Invitation.
The respons card I just have cut one patern on the left side and put the text on the right side.

Here is what the plate actually looks like.

My second project:

My second project is a pendant decoration. I cut twelve cut dies. Firstly I glued 2 pieces together 6 times then I glued them all together. I decorated it with a bow and flowers.

These plates are available right now on the Spellbinders website —–> HERE
