Amazing Paper Grace September Die of the Month Blog Hop - Lattice Quadrante

Every once in awhile a die comes along that gives you so many combinations that it's almost like a puzzle.  Today we are sharing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for September 2020 -  Lattice Quadrante.  The four pieces of pristine cut, pie-shaped lattice with decorative edges will have you twirling, twisting, and setting the pieces on end figuring out all the beautiful configurations you can make.

Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace sent me these lovely dies to create with.

Lattice Quadrante Details

Who isn't a fan of lattice?  Becca shared that so often she longs for pairs of motifs so that she can cut a symmetrical design in one pass.  This die is symmetry on steroids!  She has given us four identical motifs that function as inlays or can be used altogether with a rim to make a rounded central element.  The word quadrante comes from quads and is just the hint you need to know that there are four pie-shaped pieces in this set to create a configuration powerhouse.

Today we want to inspire you to think of different combinations using the Die of the Month, Lattice Quadrante.

It's truly like a puzzle!  Here's what we came up with.

  1. Use all the motifs together in the rim for a large motif.
  2. Alternate motifs in the rim for an alternating lattice design.
  3. Cut each piece separately and use the pointed end as corners.
  4. Make a tall card by stacking two of the motifs the tall way.
  5. Make a pocket card by cutting two of the motifs side by side.
  6. Set the die on point and cut a v-shaped peek a boo piece.
  7. Use one motif alone.
Are you getting the picture?  We can name so many more!

There are SEVEN dies included in the Lattice Quadrante Set

My Project Today using Lattice Quadrante

I prepared two different boxes for small chocolates. My first, bigger box is for four sweets.
I die cut two big shapes and glued them together. I made a small box from white paper and put it on glued shapes. Then I folded it to cover my box with sweets.

I decorated this box with smaller, triangle die cut from the set. On the top, I put a white bow.

My second mini box is made with one shape of the big die-cut. I folded it to create a small box for three chocolates.

The flower is handmade from S4-867 Cinch and Go Flowers III.  To make leaves under the flower I used S5-055 Layered Poinsettia flower.

Elegant Twist Squares from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken

Hello, my Friends!

I prepared two simple Thank You cards featuring Elegant Twist Squares from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken

Mint colour is my favourite, I just love it. I painted a plain paper with acrylic paint to get a background under my white square. Using Ink Pad Harmony Oasis, I added blending in the middle and next, I white heat embossed the script on the Elegant Twist Square

I die cut die THANK YOU letters from DOMAPG-OCT19  One Kind Word Alphabet Collage
Each of them was cut three times and glued together to make a little dimension.

My second card is very similar but I changed the colour and font.

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace Christmas Cascade Collection

We all love interactive and kinetic cards! Introducing the Christmas Cascade Collection!

This holiday collection allows you to make a Cascading Card inside of a Shadowbox Frame, mounted on a card base or unmounted. Don't worry, these motifs make great conventional cards as well.

We listened to you, and we heard loud and clear that our community loves dynamic and purposeful cards. In previous collections we gave you 3D Vignettes in a Christmas way.  Now we've found a way to merge a Collection favorite, Shadowbox Vignettes, in a new format.

Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace sent me these lovely dies to start my Christmas Card making!

Hi there, today our Creative Team is sharing our makes from the Christmas Cascade Collection.  Let's take a second to sort this out...

 What's a Christmas Cascade?

Amazing Paper Grace takes a spin on Christmas by building a new collection around something you already have in your stash - the Shadowbox Dies.  Becca loves building upon what you already have and making it new again.

Christmas Cascade is made up of sets of 3" motif dies where each set has 3 motifs.  That's enough for each leaf of your waterfall but again, you could make them the center of your A2 or your A7 card. These, paired with the Waterfall base will allow you to use any dies to make your next Waterfall Card.

The Inspiration behind Christmas Cascade

The inspiration for Christmas Cascade was to produce a motif to use from an enclosure card all the way up to full A7 card with background layers.  This "cardlet" size has been a favorite in our stash because the elements can easily transition into all of the Amazing Paper Grace Collections and to all size cards.  Hint:  This is not the last time you will see "Cardlets"

Each of our Creative Team members will show you how to make a Christmas Cascade Card that is a waterfall card and a Christmas Cascade Card that is a flat card.

My Projects For Today
First up is my Flat Card made with Amazing Paper Grace S5-430 Holiday Word Blocks by Spellbinders. You have 4 different word blocks here and one small poinsettia flower. That gives you lots of possibilities of creating different cards with only one set of dies.

I die-cut NOEL from gold mirror cardstock. The empty space in letters I fill with red paper and spaces between letters with white paper. I adhered the sentiment on the double 3D tape to give some dimension to my card.
I decorated this sentiment with holly leaves that I cut off from HO HO HO word block.
Next, I foiled "From our Family to Yours" from Elegant Holiday Glimmer Sentiments. I used a Gold Glimmer Hot Foil Roll.

Here is what the dies look like:

Second up is my Waterfall Card using Amazing Paper Grace S6-166 Christmas Cascade Card Base by Spellbinders.

It was my first time when I was using a Cascade Interactive Card. I can surely say that I love it. I have really enjoyed creating this card.
During creating I couldn't wait to see a final effect :)

I was making small cards one by one and then adhere them to my Cascade base card.

On the top page, I put two decorative corners and then on the top a vallum paper with the sentiment Tis the Season. Next pages I decorated with word block from the same set of dies - S5-430 Holiday Word Blocks designed by Becca Feeken.

Here is the Spellbinders video showing amazing new samples as well as a tutorial showing you how to put the Cascade Card together:
