Introducing Elegant Twist Blog Hop | Amazing Paper Grace

Elegant Twist Die Collection by Amazing Paper Grace

It's time to introduce another new collection from Amazing Paper Grace. Whether your handmade cards are made up of detailed die-cuts or clean and simple die-cuts, we all have something in common - we love to start with a base shape.

As a member of the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team, I receive free product for use in my projects.

The newest Classic Die Collection from Amazing Paper Grace is Elegant Twist. It is a classic set of Rectangles, Squares, Circles, and Ovals with a curvy elongated bordering pattern that reminds us of the undulating pattern of a rope and that's where it gets its name. Elegant Twist gives you an elegant twisted border base shape to either stamp on or layer on.

Inspiration for Elegant Twist

We're tickled about this unique rope inspired pattern. Moreover, it is romantic and draws the eye toward the center of the design. Or do you see something more masculine or nautical?  Beyond what meets the eye, Elegant Twist has a twist! By simply placing two of the same designs back to back, you get a lovely criss-cross pattern!

Elegant Twist is designed to layer or pair with the other classic finishes in the Hemstitch Classic Collection and the Candlewick Classic Collection. The Elegant Twist set features 7 dies that allow you to have either a frame or a filled-in bordered design. All in all, the Elegant Twist Collection is something different to give your cards or panels a unique flair.

My Project For Today:

For my card, I used the same pattern for the background and a smaller circle. I added a gold layer and a purple layer of large circle pattern. For the medium circle, I added only the gold layer.

I used the same paper pattern for creating a bag. I added a medium circle with 2 layers of colours. All are decorated with a bow and handmade flowers.

To create my flowers I used a die S4-1022 Candlewick Grand Pocket where you can find 3 flowers dies.

Amazing Paper Grace May Die of the Month Blog Hop

We just love dies that transform into different things!  When you look at this die template there is no limit to the ways it can be fixed and flipped and folded to give you a beautiful prop, box, or card.  Welcome to the APG May 2020 Die of the Month - Fleur de Lis Grandeur Fold Over.

We often talk about that "easy to use die template" that you reach for time after time after time.
This is one of those.  This month after using it we've seen it make the most darling filigree envelope that simply requires cutting and folding.  We've seen it make a simple notecard that will produce a card in under five minutes.  We've seen it make a box top that simply takes the time to score and fold the box and drape the die over the top.  As always, the die makes a card that goes from just die-cutting to one that has layers of the filigree elements crisscrossed.  Lol, do cards make themselves?
Almost with this one - that puts in on our "goto" list.

Here are the dies included in the set:

My project today:

My first inspiration for today's Hop is a horizontal card with decorative sides.
On the top, I added two layers of square beautiful die-cut, gold and cream.
Flowers are made with a die from this set.

Sentiment on printed firstly on a paper and then die cut.

My second project is a box with triangular walls.

I die cut each side with die without an outline and then I added the same die cut twice with the outline.  At the top of my box, I cut out holes to tie it up with a ribbon.

Supply List:
Stamps: none; sentiment is printed
Paper: Mint, creme and gold paper
Ink: none

It's a circle!  It's a square!  It's a circle in a square!  This little template weighs in at 4" x 4" and packs a powerful punch with the ability to use each of the elements for a whole host of cards.  This month we are tickled to share Elegant Infinity.

As always the rims make this die set so very versatile.  It was designed for the circle to be included or not included.  It was designed so that it could have an intricate center or not.  It was also designed so that the corners are scaled to fit inside (trim corner) leaving one line width open for the die-cut words.  We hope you love all the options!

Here are the dies included in the set:

My Project Today:

I wanted to create a mini basket but in the middle of my work I put my basket upside down and I saw that it looks great. So I decided to finish that as a mini table with a label "Congrats".

Legs are made from beautiful corners. I die cut 8 pieces and joined two together four times. I prepare this way my base. On the top, I put circle pattern and a label "Congrats" decorated with flowers.
I use dies from the set to create flowers and my favourite Candlewick Rosebud.

I prepared a card matching for my first project. I use every die from the set of DOM. I really love it.
There are so many elements giving you lots of possibilities to create. And the flowers.... simply amazing, so delicate and sweet.

Supply List:
Stamps: none
Paper: creme cardboard, gold mirror cardboard, Scrapandme paper
Ink: none
Accessories: March DOM, S4-1015 Candlewick Rosebud, PL-001 Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine,

The Introducing Flourished Fretwork Blog Hop

The Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team and I are so thrilled to be able to show you the new dies that are a part of the  Flourished Fretwork Collection.  Hop through with all of the designers to see what they have made!

Inspiration for Flourished Fretwork

Becca wanted to make the Flourished Fretwork dies to have a very wide appeal so the dies are created to do many things.  The dies were designed so that they could be layered on top of or behind so many of the dies you have in your stash.  They are also designed as the central point to an A7 card but are also small enough that they can make A2 cards as well.

This collection is full of rims and the ability to create shadow layers, each die gives you several options.  Whether you like an intricate layer or the solid layer, the choice is yours!

My Project For Today:

I'm tickled to introduce S4-1047 Richelieu Square Etched Dies Flourished Fretwork.
I created a Wedding card 6x6.

Firstly I die-cut the small square inlay from white paper and cut it in half. I adhered them on the opposite side of the card.
Next, I die-cut the large square from white cardstock. Again I used a small square die. I cut two pieces, creme and gold and adhered them on the top of the other slightly offset them.
I repeated this process one more time with a circle.
In the middle, I put a small tag with "It's Your Wedding" sentiment.
I decorated my card with a bow and flower

My second Project

I created an exploding box with a cake inside. The sweets or little gift can be put inside the box instead of cake. On top of my handmade little cake, I put a rose made with Sweet Cottage Flowers.  On the box's lid is a flower as well made with the same die but I created it in a different way.

Introducing Candlewick Sampler | Giveaway

If you're a "Gracelet" or by chance happened by the Amazing Paper Grace website over time, you have no doubt wondered how Becca comes up with her names and inspiration.  Today, we're excited to give a little peek into a new collection and the inspiration.  Join us as we share lovely creations made using Candlewick Sampler

Since the age of 12 Becca has loved fiber - she quilts, knits, crochets, does cross stitch and before becoming a Licensed Die Designer sewed most of her own clothes. Fascinated with intricate textures and the look of laces, fabrics, and embroidery, Becca tried to replicate the look and feel of those textures in dies.  Candlewicking has such a distinct look and Becca thrilled at the prospect of getting that look and feel into a die.  If you've loved her lace look collections or that elegant look of Hemstitch, you'll love Candlewick Sampler.

The Inspiration Behind Candlewick Sampler

Candlewicking is a type of whitework embroidery normally done on cream or white fabric embellished with cream or white french knots.  The series of french knots create the outlines of the pattern giving it a unique look while adding a touch of elegance.  In these dies, you can see rounded motifs that hint at the texture of dots.  Without overpowering, it's a sweet little detail present on all the dies in the collection.  Plus, it just happens to be the perfect spot to place a pearl.  Google candlewicking and you'll see exactly what we mean.

My Projects For Today

I'm introducing a S3-382 Candlewick Colonnade Border - Candlewick Sampler Collection by Becca Feeken. This is a set of two dies that includes a beautiful intricate topper inlay design and an outer top cut piece.

For my project today I made a Wedding Invitation and Respond Card. I used a textured peach paper. Firstly,  I cut the opposite sides of the paper and I folded two cut pattern to inside. In this way I prepared a Invitation.
The respons card I just have cut one patern on the left side and put the text on the right side.

Here is what the plate actually looks like.

My second project:

My second project is a pendant decoration. I cut twelve cut dies. Firstly I glued 2 pieces together 6 times then I glued them all together. I decorated it with a bow and flowers.
