Amazing Paper Grace December Die of the Month Blog Hop

Every now and again you need easy, right?  We've become a huge fans of slip-in cards.  They are cards that are cut partially inlaid so that you can simply slip a decorative panel into place and you're done.  This month Die of the Month is called Rose & Filigree Duo Slip in Card.

Your panel can be decorative, textured or simply a sentiment.  The partial inlay can be positioned just where you want it on your card from one side to another or midway.  It can even be used to make a gatefold card or an actual belly band.

This month we have very delicate and subtle dies. I think they are perfect for birthday or wedding cards.

My Project Today:

I made a birthday card using one of the Die from the set. I cut from a cream paper and gold the same pattern and while adhering them I offset them a little. I cut a pink background and put it under bottom shape.

My second card:

My second card is in a lilac colour with a pearl paper. I decorated my card with some of the flowers made using Bacca's dies.

Supply List:

Stamps: none

Santa Claus is coming!

Good Morning Friends,

I'd like to share with you with my new Christmas card created with Amazing Paper Grace dies designed by Becca Feeken.

My next inspiration is made using Grand Snow Glob

In the middle of the Glob, I put a picture of Santa Claus. I cut twice a white Glob and adhered them together using 3D tape. At the bottom, I added a gold element cut off from the Glob die cut.
"Season Greeting" is made with one of the sentiments from GLP-120 Christmas Damask Jubilee.

I decorated my card with white and red poinsettias.

I used:

Christmas - Away in a Manger

Good Morning Friends,

I'd like to share with you with my new Christmas card created with Amazing Paper Grace dies designed by Becca Feeken.
I'm a little late but this my creation for the first week of the month.

Firstly, I die cut  Arch Rim, Arch Frame and Sentiment Insert together from gold paper.
The second layer is die cut from red, grid pattern paper. I adhered them together using 3D tape to give some distance.

Poinsettia is die cut using S4-960 Cinch and GoPoinsettia. I added a little gold paint on the petals so it would add some vintage style.

I used:
Shapeabilities Grand Christmas Lattice Arch Etched Dies 3D Holiday Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken
S6-159 -  Grand Christmas Lattice Arch Etched Dies 3D Holiday Vignettes
Shapeabilities Cinch and Go Poinsettia Etched Dies Etched Dies A Charming Christmas Collection by Becca Feeken

Introducing Candlewick Classics | GIVEAWAY

Hi Friends, last month we introduced Candlewick Sampler and this month we are introducing a small companion collection that drives home that sweet Candlewick look.  We introduce these so that there is a central place you can see them and how they are used; we hope you will welcome Candlewick Classics.  If you loved Hemstitch Classics like Hemstitch Rectangles then you'll love the individual new dies options in the 6 die collection.  These are basics you'll definitely want to evaluate for your stash.

A Bit About Candlewick Classics

Nowhere does the candlewick look and feel come through more than on the Candlewick Classics.  It's a delicate look reminiscent of actual candlewicking and punctuated by the rounded motifs that imply french knots.  Candlewick Classics are classic square, circle, oval and rectangle label shapes that are bordered with the candlewick motif in the most useful card making sizes.  They also mix and match with the Hemstitch Classics.

What is Candlewicking?  Browse the google images found when searching "Candliewicking" and you will see that it is a type of whitework embroidery normally done on cream or white fabric embellished with cream or white french knots.  The series of french knots create the outlines of the pattern giving it a unique look while adding a touch of elegance.  In these dies, you can see rounded motifs that hint at the texture of dots.  Without overpowering, it's a sweet little detail present on all the dies in the collection.  Plus, it just happens to be the perfect spot to place a pearl.  Google candlewicking and you'll see exactly what we mean.

My Projects For Today

I'm introducing S5-406 Candlewick Doily Round Dies.

I prepared a card and a box for a Wedding day. I love the Doily Round Dies so much that I decided not to use neither bow nor flowers to expose its beauty.
It's very delicate and it goes very well with other dies from Candlewick Classic Collection.

To make a box I used a die from the last year Christmas Collection - S6-153 Charming Cottage Box.
I decorated it with Doily Round Die and flowers S4-1015 Candlewick Rosebund.

Amazing Paper Grace November Die of the Month Blog Hop

Christmas is on the horizon and of course, as makers, made Christmas Cards are our hallmark during the holidays.  This month's APG Die of the Month is Winters Solstice Snowflake.  It is a delicate doily looking snowflake done in a regal way to usher in the Holiday Season.

The Snowflake was designed by Becca but if you know her well, as a budget crafter, she intends for you to use the design year-round.  Her holiday offerings always can be dressed up for Holidays and dressed down for any other occasion and the same is true with Winters Solstice Snowflake.

If you would like to create something special and unique for your friends or your family this Die of Month is perfect for you.  This set of dies is absolutely amazing. They can be used on the card as a decoration or individually as a separated card.

My Project Today:

I prepared a card 6"x6". I used a vintage paper with a poinsettia in the corner. I cut the outer pattern twice (gold and white) and glued them together on the background. In the centre, I put gloss gold snowflake on the matt gold background.
I decorated my card with handmade poinsettias. To get them more vintage look I added a little touch gold paint on them.
I also added "Merry Christmas" made using a Hot Glimmer System and Merry Filigree Quatrefoil Glimmer Hot Foil Plate by Becca Feeken.

Supply List:

Stamps: none
Paper: Gold mirror paper, Vintage Noel Premium Paper Pad
Ink: none

Amazing Paper Grace October Die of the Month Blog Hop

Have you ever needed to make a card and hunted through your stash and found that you could not find a sentiment with the right word?  Well, look no more!  It was out of that frustration that Becca created a sweet set that will accommodate that exact word you are looking for with One Kind Word Alphabet Collage.

Now you can headline with Sorry, Amazing, Silly, Fierce, Happy, Heaven, Gather, Home, Grow, Friend, Bestie and the list goes on and on.  No need to stick with one word, you can have two - U Rock, Adore U, My Love.

One of the things we share when we share a handmade card, is kindness.  What better way to share that kindness than to put the exact word you mean on the front of the card.  Nothing like getting right to the point! The Alphabet collage is a card in and of itself but the words you can make with the letters that fall out, are priceless.  You can use the 5 x 7 Sentiment Frame or go naked and simply make up your own sentiment.

This die is so universal.  With a whole alphabet, you can create any card.  The letters are so delicate and beautiful. In addition, we have little flowers to decorate our project.

It's World Card Making Day and the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team is celebrating with a Giveaway and inspiration for the new October Die of the Month - details at the bottom of my post.

My project today:

I couldn't decide what card to prepare for this blog. Firstly, I wanted to make a Christmas card, then a card with my wee granddaughter's photo. Finally, because it's getting colder and colder, I decided to give you a little sun :)
I found beautiful sunflower's pictures on the Internet. I recomposed them a little and mixed them together. I printed them on a cream paper. I decorated my card with flowers from Die of the Month. They are so sweet.
At the top, I added the name of my friend to make the card more personalised.

Supply List:

Stamps: none
Paper: coloured paper, M&C Boutique.
Ink: none
Accessories: October Die of the Month, S4-1015 Candlewick Rosebund, 3D tape, Pearls, Platinum Diecutting Machine.
